SciVentures has established an International Technology Advisory Panel (ITAP), the purpose of which is to provide global validation of likely technology investments. Each member of the panel acts as a "node on a global network" of technology experts across various disciplines. As such they are able to provide SciVentures with rapid feedback on potential investments in terms of technology uniqueness and competitive position.

The list of members of the SciVentures ITAP may change over time, but currently includes the following highly successful global innovation practitioners:

Previously, Dr. Smith was Director of Alcoa Technical Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Before that, he was VP, AlliedSignal Corporate Research & Technology, Morristown, New Jersey, USA.

Dr. Robert C. Morris
Consultant, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, California, USA
Dr. Morris was formerly the Chief Scientist of AlliedSignal’s Aerospace Sector, Morristown, New Jersey, USA.

Dr. Colin Peel
CEO, Alpharma Australia Pty. Ltd., Melbourne
Dr. Peel is a senior executive who formerly developed & introduced Agri-bio new products in both USA and Europe with Monsanto, American Cyanamid & American Home Products Inc.

Dr. Ian Maxwell
CEO, RPO Pty. Ltd., Sydney
After highly inventive period in research and in R&D management at Memtech and James Hardie, Dr. Maxwell is now leading the development of a polymer photonics start-up with technology from U.Sydney and ANU as its base.

Dr. John Ballard

Following a series of assignments in the venture capital arms of British banks, assessing and investing in high technology opportunities, Dr. Ballard established his own venture capital fund, which is now fully invested.

Mr. Howard Wilder
MD, Genitrix, London, UK
Following period with American Cyanamid marketing new veterinary pharmaceuticals in Asia/Pacific, Mr. Wilder established his own new veterinary products marketing business across Europe.

Mr. Higeoshi Takaoka
MD, Techno-Alliance Corporation, Tokyo, Japan
Formerly, Mr. Takaoka was a senior vice-president of SRI in Palo Alto, California. He later set up Kansai Research Institute in Kyoto, Japan. He now leads TAC Tokyo - an international new technology advisory service.
